Job Description

The School of Biological Sciences invites applications for a Lecturer in Regenerative Medicine or Stem Cell Biology. The successful candidate will have a PhD in a relevant subject and have a broad understanding of stem cells and regenerative medicine.  Working collaboratively, you will be a future leader/ leader in your field, with a strong track record of research and publication in an area of Regenerative Medicine or Stem Cell Biology. Applicants with an established focus on stem cells in regenerative medicine are particularly encouraged to apply. Evidence of having obtained external research funding is expected.

You will contribute to and enhance our outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the School of Biological Sciences and wider University and there will be opportunities to develop the curriculum, innovate teaching and provide an exceptional student experience through research-led learning. You will also participate in the successful mentoring and supervision of our cohort of postgraduate researchers.

You will have a PhD and an emerging publication record in the field, as well as the ability to lead a research group and communicate your research successfully to a wide audience. A commitment to teaching and learning is essential in addition to the drive to progress and develop in your career. We would particularly welcome applications from those who have previously attracted external funding for their research or have held personal fellowships.
