Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Employment Studies. You are expected to make a significant contribution to Manchester Business School’s reputation for world-class research and to develop expertise in key areas through both research and engagement. You will be expected to teach at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels in the area of Human Resource Management and to participate in the administrative activities of MBS. Moreover, you will be expected to network with policy and practitioner communities to improve the impact of their research.
The post is based within the HRM, Employment Relations and Law group of the People, Management and Organisations division (PMO). Collaborative research is organised within two research centres, the European Work and Employment Research Centre (EWERC) and the Fairness at Work Research Centre (Fair WRC). Interest in research on topics and debates relevant to the teaching of HRM is essential. Desirable qualities include evidence of research leadership (including success at winning grants), interest in research themes covered in the two research centres and engagement with non-academic bodies.
As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. However, as black and minority ethnic (BME) candidates are currently under-represented at this level in this area, we would particularly welcome applications from BME applicants. All appointments will be made on merit.
