You will join the Geography discipline at SEED, and the Centre for Urban Energy and Resilience (CURE). You will support the delivery of high quality research within the European Research Council-funded project ‘Energy Vulnerability and Urban Transitions in Europe’ (EVALUATE), led by Professor Stefan Bouzarovski.
Your primary task will be to plan and carry out research, using appropriate methodology and techniques, in order to fulfil the project aims. This will primarily involve quantitative data analysis from household surveys. You will also contribute towards the dissemination of research findings, which entails writing papers and policy briefs, updating a dynamic website, as well as organising workshops and conferences.
As Research Associate will have the opportunity to publish work in relation to the research, in appropriate authorship arrangements with the project leader and other members of the research team. On a day to day basis, you will provide project management functions in supporting the PI to meet the objectives of the research and will be based in Geography and CURE within SEED, and you will also contribute to the activities of the Society and Environment Research Group, as well as the Cities, Politics and Economies Research Group.
As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. However, as black and minority ethnic (BME) candidates are currently under-represented at this level in this area, we would particularly welcome applications from BME applicants. All appointments will be made on merit.
