This position is designed to cover teaching, administrative, and related duties within the Division, involving primarily some combination of courses in Ancient History. Contribution in other areas will depend on the particular skills of the successful applicant.

Your principal duties will be to contribute to the teaching, assessment and administration of course-units in Ancient History, and to supervise dissertations and long essays at undergraduate level.

Although there may be some opportunity for lecturing, the primary purpose of the appointment is to provide seminar support across a range of courses in Ancient History, together with dissertation supervision, especially in Roman history.

It is expected that you will make some contribution to language teaching, in either Latin or Greek. Total teaching load will be assigned to you in accordance with the School’s Work Allocation Model (WAM).
