The tasks will be varied, and a flexible approach will be essential. You are likely to be in the early stages of an academic career, with a PhD in a relevant subject, and will need to have a demonstrable interest in producing high quality research and publication in peer-reviewed journals. Priority research areas for us include: the politics of social protection, the governance of oil and pockets of bureaucratic effectiveness. There will be a strong focus on the production of research outputs and so excellent writing skills will be essential for the post.
